This is OUR life

Hey, Guy's

I've wanted to take some way of communicating my passions and goals in a massive scale so that I could bring value to the people that I really care about. This blog is not about telling you what's right. It's about sharing my views and sharing some tools that I've gotten from other people who are very successful at what they do. I’m using this blog to share with you some of the power that I get from great people. Although I' don’t personally know these people, I read their books, hear their CD's, and go to their seminars.

Who are these people? They are people like Anthony Robbins and Robert Kyiosaki. I know that most of you consider me to be a great guy (of course) who maybe at one time or another seemed to be a bit wired with some pretty steep ambitions.

Well, I want you all to feel that. That rush of excitement you get when you anticipate something great, like when you just know you where made to beat the odds. Maybe you see yourself running an Iron Man ahead of all others, or building a business of massive scale, or building just the most wonderful social circle where, no matter where you look, you can't help but say to yourself; "My Life Is A Blessing!", or "Boy, am I lucky to be living this life!". Sure, I'm on my own journey, and I don't have all the answers (Don't tell anyone else). Who cares? I know that my growth comes from wanting to help others. As I learn and share, my muscles grow, and I encourage you all to share what you see here if you feel like it really helps you in some area of your life. So let’s get this rollin’ so that you can all go to your family and friends and start blabbering about what you saw your friend talking about on the internet!!!

For today, I'm just going to let you know that this past weekend I went to a seminar. It was an Unleash the Power Within seminar by Anthony Robbins. It was an amazing experience. Just one thing to remember... you are going to sweat in the seminar. You just can't possibly retain any water when you use your body so much. Anthony has a habit of asking people to be very physical in his seminars; kind of like an imprinting exercise to help you internalize physically what you learn. (Isn't there anything worse than learning something REALLY COOL and then never applying it and forgetting about it? Yea, it’s kind of hard to feel smart after that.) So, as I want to be brief today, I'll just tell you this... much of the change happens during the third day when we do something called the Dickens Process. It's a process where you basically take your limiting beliefs, associate it in your body with incredible, massive, immediate levels of pain, and then replace it with an empowering belief. You replace it by associating the new belief with amazing, massive, immediate levels of pleasure. It’s a great process that I have used myself for my personal life and it really works.

Think about it this way. Think of a man who grows up in the 50’s with a bunch of cocky kids who all think that smoking is cool. Soon, he begins to smoke and begins to get other benefits from smoking, including forcing his lungs to take in more oxygen, which relaxes him, and that feeling of significance still lingers every time he holds that cigarette in his hands. He also enjoys the sense of connection that he gets from his peers whenever they “light one up” together. That man grows up, and one day has a kid. So the kid gets to grow up, thank God, and he seems to be a bright boy, but he doesn’t get the same luck with his peers. For some reason, other boys like to pick on him because he's just a bit smarter then they are. He goes through the schooling process, and he experiences a few bruises and some painful verbal abuse from all the jealous kids. One thing seems to be consistent. All of those punk kids smoke. And all of those punk kids seem to just suck at school and have terrible lives at home. So what does he associate in his brain? People who smoke aren’t the sharpest tools and their horribly sick emotionally. So what do you think that does to the young boy? He's determined never to smoke in his life and he might even adopt a healthier lifestyle, maybe even becoming a vegetarian and an athlete.

This is just a simple example of how we, humans, are influenced by pain and pleasure and how they, when connected to our belief systems, determine our destiny. So wouldn’t it be powerful to just explore this Dickens Process just a bit more? Maybe you might be able to collapse a limiting belief you’ve had for a long time that has really held you back, and you could take control of your life. I encourage you to click here to learn more about the Dickens Process to see just how this method could help you create some positive momentum.
